ABOUT BAKED PASTRY SHOP Patisserie • Retail • Catering In 2009, Baked Pastry Shop opened its blue-paneled doors to the Wayside Village community where it all started in Marmora, NJ.  From the beginning, residents enthusiastically embraced Baked Pastry Shop for its combination of sublime, all-natural handmade confections and inviting, charming ambience–they could see and taste the difference. Owner and Pastry Chef Corey Taylor's artistry and craftsmanship elevated the ordinary with his innovative twists on classics to create gourmet cakes, cupcakes, macaroons and biscottis, but it's his acclaimed signature shortbread cookies that put Baked Pastry Shop on the map.   The shop’s popularity and success organically led to the opening of a retail outlet three years later in 2012. Furthering their expansion and reach to a wider audience of fine pastry aficionados, the patisserie also serves its confections to high-end restaurants and hotels that seek to elevate their dessert offerings for their discerning guests. Offering full-service catering for special events, private parties and corporate events of all sizes, Baked Pastry Shop expertly executes custom creations, large and small, simple and extravagant, based on the unique vision for each client’s affair. Whether catering a celebrity birthday party or an intimate local wedding, the Baked Pastry Shop team handles each event with a personal touch and the utmost attention to detail to ensure flawless execution. ABOUT COREY TAYLOR,
OWNER & PASTRY CHEF   Inspired by his lifelong passion for the culinary arts, Corey brings nearly 20 years of experience and artistry to Baked Pastry Shop, the cherished gourmet patisserie, retail outlet, wholesaler and caterer.  Classically trained in baking and pastry at the Academy of Culinary Arts, Corey developed and honed his signature style while working with some of the most celebrated restaurants and patisseries on the East Coast before launching his own line of gourmet desserts.     Several key assignments elevated his art and contributed to his career and reputation in the industry as a talent on the rise, including experiences at the Ebbitt Room at the Virginia Hotel; The Mad Batter in Cape May; and Tomatoes in Margate City, New Jersey. After participating in a series of Atlantic City openings including The Temple Bar at Caesars, and two Tropicana venues, acclaimed restaurateur Steven Starr took note of Corey’s natural talents and avant garde adaptations of French and Spanish styles in gourmet dessert making, appointing him Executive Pastry Chef for internationally renowned restaurants, Buddakan and Continental.     In 2009, Corey’s devotion to his art and natural talent for reinventing classic desserts with an indelible twist inspired the launch of Baked Pastry Shop, a gourmet confectionery serving the Wayside Village community in Marmora, NJ. The shop’s popularity led to the opening of a retail outlet three years later in 2012.  Serving its confections to high-end restaurants and hotels, his line of delectable desserts are currently featured on the menu of the Linwood Country Club at the South Jersey Shore where it has been satisfying the sweet tooth of customers for more than a year.   Based on the requests of his loyal clientele, Corey expanded Baked Pastry Shop’s offerings, delivering full-service catering for special events, private parties and corporate events of all sizes.  Devoted to producing the most exquisite custom creations, Corey and his team flawlessly execute each event with precision and attention to detail to create the most precious confections for events of all sizes.     Corey also launched the Baked Pastry Online Shop, where the full range of baked goods can be conveniently ordered and delivered. The exceptional lightness of Corey’s desserts is matched only by the intensity of their flavors— a result of his signature style, refined technique and gastronomical innovation. As he expands Baked Pastry Shop, Corey continues to delight his devoted clientele and new patrons with classic confections and avant-garde creations in the patisserie, on the menus of partnering hotels and restaurants and at special events throughout the region.
